The festive season is round the corner. And what better way to touch base with consumers when they are celebrating with hearts full of joy. This prompted Canon to organize an event to launch one of their very important technology marvels as well as drive home the message of joy to customers. And once again, the preferred partner of choice was C S Direkt Events & Exhibitions (P) Ltd.
The event was promoted by the Imaging Communication Products (ICP) division of Canon. The event titled “CEP Meet” was held on Sep 8th, at the Grand Oberoi in Kolkata. This event marked one of the firsts in India for Mr. Seiji Hamanishi, Assistant Director, ICP Division, India.
The event was aptly themed “Canon Festive Fiesta”, as the idea was to embrace the glory of Canon for the most awaited festive season of India. The festival calendar in India begins from Durga Puja in the eastern region. The purchasing power is the highest at this point of time in the year which makes this the best time for Canon to exhibit their new range of HS-High Sensitivity technology cameras (where images in the dark comes out bright). Canon also launched a huge ATL campaign during Durga Puja for an amplified brand & product visibility.
As part of the execution, special emphasis was given to create a story around this technology & duplicate it in the ambience for the audience to experience it live. While emcee Sangeeta Singh brought the spirits alive with her energy and enthusiasm, the guests were treated to a different experience during the launch. While the guests entered & settled down, the entire hall was dark, with the exception of a crystal ball which was illuminated. The launch happened when Seiji san touched the crystal ball. (The sensitivity factor for the HS technology)
Another key highlight of the event was an elaborate exhibit area showcasing existing products of Canon, for people to get hands on experience of the new HS Technology through the HS Box. Overall, it was an event full of innovation and creativity - a perfect way to start the festive season.
