Mauj Telecom enables cell phone users to customise wallpapers

Mauj Telecom, India'sleading wireless solutions provider, today, announced the launch of a newWAP-based mobile application called ‘wallGenie’. wallGenie is aone-of-a-kind application that makes you a ‘wallpaper wizard’,enabling you to custom-make and individualize your own mobile wallpaper. Injust a few easy steps, you can design a wallpaper that speaks your heart.

You have a whole lot of readymade template wallpapers to choose from. These wallpapersalso come with special effects depicting Romance, Fun, Animals, Cool Spots,Greetings. What’s more, the consumer, after choosing the desiredtemplate, can also fill in the text box with his / her own message. The messageis then programmatically delivered onto the template image in the effect.

Theapplication can be downloaded through operator portals, like IdeaCellular’s Ideafresh, MTNL’s Funstation, BSNL CellOne Galaxy or bylogging onto wap.mauj.com or by SMSing wallGenieto 7007 on Hutch, Orange, Idea, MTNL andBSNL. The application is affordably priced between Rs. 9 and Rs. 15 dependingupon the service.

The procedure is very simple. This is how it goes - there is a template image of a beautifulchocolate cake with text which appears as if it is written in cream icing. Theconsumer logs on to the wallGenie application on mobile internet and choosesthis template. He, then, types in a text like ‘Happy Bday Sunil’and clicks on the preview. Programatically, in realtime, a wallpaper will begenerated which flashes ‘Happy Bday Sunil’ in cream icing effect onthe chocolate cake. If the user is not satisfied with the result, he can goback, and keep on making the changes and previewing till he gets it right. Oncethe user is satisfied, he / she clicks on the download button, and downloadsthe custom created image as a Mobile Wallpaper. There you have it. So easy!
