PVR Launches its 32nd Multiplex in Maharashtra

PVR Cinemas., the largest cinema exhibition company in India, today announced the launch of its seven screen multiplex at Koregaon Plaza mall, Pune. The launch of third PVR multiplex in Pune is spread across an area of approximately 42,550 sq ft, with a seating capacity of 1519 seats. With this launch, PVR’s count of multiplexes goes up to 32 in six key cities of Maharashtra including Mumbai, Latur, Aurangabad, Pune, Nagpur and Nanded. With the opening of the multiplex in the city, PVR’s screen count increases to 390 screens in 90 cinemas in 36 cities across India.

The launch of the multiplex in Pune was graced by the presence of the cast & crew of the soon to be released comedy movie, Grand Masti. The Grand Masti Team of Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, Bruna Abdalah, Kainaat Arora, Maryam Zakaria, Sonalee Kulkarni and Manjari Phadnis inaugurated the multiplex with a walkthrough of the property.

On the occasion, Mr. Gautam Dutta, COO, PVR Ltd. said, “We have had an over whelming response from the people of Pune and hence we are equally delighted to launch our third multiplex in the city. Also, with an incline in the trend of regional cinema, there has been a steady growth of multiplexes in Tier II cities. In addition, the lovers of art and culture are found to be ever abundant in the city, with entertainment always at its peak. The launch of the third multiplex has thus been planned keeping in mind the growing discerning needs of the audience for quality cinema”.

Located in the heart of the city, PVR has built the boutique multiplex in resonance with the upmarket residential locale of the city. Having understood the market of Pune and every other aspect of cinema viewing, the interiors of the multiplex have been designed in a way to look rich, warm and inviting. The entrance glazing of the cinema has the trademark of PVR square branding in a chequered pattern. The concession is clearly the focus of attention as it is bang in front of the entrance. PVR Cinemas which has always strived to offer their customers the best movie experience also boasts of 2K Digital projection, 7.1 surround sound, 3D enabled and 3 way JBL speakers.

The multiplex also comprises of a non- ticketed food and beverage option called "POPCORN EXPRESS” which will surely tickle the senses of the consumers with its aroma. Besides popcorn, the movie goers in Pune will experience the wide menu of regular candy bar and other food kiosks.
