Company Brief, November 8
MUMBAI
IIM Ahmedabad has roped in the digital agency, Digital Branding Solutions (A Mudra group venture) to redesign its website. Confirming the development Mr. C V S Sharma, General Manager, DBS ( www.digiagency.com ) and Country Head Tribal DDB India ( www.tribalddbindia.com ) said, “We are delighted that IIM Ahmedabad has entrusted us with this task. It is a privilege to be associated with such a reputed name. At the same time we are conscious of our responsibility to uphold the values, image of the institute and expectations of the management, students and alumni. We see the role for this site going much beyond the boundaries of India – it is for thousands of brilliant minds all over the world. The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Asia’s most prestigious management institute, chooses its partners by the same demanding standards it sets for its candidates – our creative and servicing capabilities, solution-engineering strengths, access to global learning through Tribal DDB Network Worldwide might have weighed in our favor.”
DBS has already begun the process of redesign of the site www.iimahd.ernet.in. In line with the global vision of the institute DBS aims to make it a site that can be globally benchmarked. It aims to enhance the present user interface and make the site more interactive with features like online shop for case studies, research papers, advanced content management tools, visitor and program management system, online application modules, payment gateway etc.
Professor Arvind Sahay of IIM Ahmedabad said, “We chose DBS for revamping the web site on the strength of their experience and expertise. The IIMA web site is an increasingly important window to the world for the institute and is often the first port of call for present and potential stakeholders looking for information about IIMA; worldwide it is also a transactional medium. Longer term, beyond first impressions, IIMA would like to migrate more processes on to the web. The web site revamp is a first step in that direction. Our hope is that the revamped website will reflect the aspirations of IIMA and that DBS will fulfill the expectations that IIMA has from them in this engagement.”
