Kingfisher Airlines, India’s fastest growing airline and the winner of the award for “Best New Airline of the Year 2005” in the Asia Pacific and Middle East region, today announced special fares for all personnel currently serving in the Indian Armed Forces, the Government of India, any State Government in India, and for employees of all Public Sector Units in India. The immediate families of these personnel –parents, spouse and dependent children– are also eligible for these reduced and special fares. These special fares are available for travel to all destinations served by Kingfisher Airlines.
The special fares are based on flight duration and start at Rs 1,999 for all sectors that are of one hour duration or less. For sectors where the flight duration is more than one hour but less then two hours, the applicable special fare will be Rs 2,999 while for sectors where the flight duration is more than two hours, the special fare will be Rs 3,999. Airport taxes of Rs 221/- per ticket are extra.
Sharing the motivation behind the launch of reduced airfares, Mr Manoj Chacko, General Manager, Sales, Kingfisher Airlines said, “Every single day, the members of our armed forces and their families continue to demonstrate courage, commitment and great sacrifice on behalf of their country and their fellow citizens. Similarly, members of government departments around the country perform a thankless task. Kingfisher Airlines is pleased to extend these special fares in admiration and appreciation for all they are doing”.
These special and reduced fares are valid for booking and travel from now to March 31, 2006. Because of the unique nature of these fares, verification of identity of these personnel must be done in person. The guest has to present his / her valid Government of India identity card at the city / airport offices of Kingfisher Airlines to make the booking.

The airline currently operates 56 flights daily connecting 13 key Indian cities. Kingfisher Airlines is also the first Indian carrier to have placed an order for five Airbus super jumbo A380s along with five A350s and five A330s.
