eFunds names global operations head and managing director, India

eFunds International India Pvt. Limited, a subsidiary of eFunds Corporation, today announced the appointment of Raja Gopalakrishnan as Global Operations Head & Managing Director, India. Mr. Gopalakrishnan will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of eFunds’ global operations.

"Raja brings more than fifteen years’ experience in banking, insurance and outsourcing to eFunds," said Clyde Thomas, CIO and Executive Vice President, Global Technology and Operations, eFunds Corporation. "His business insight spans process migration, back office and contact center operations, and sales and relationship management, as well as a broad understanding of the banking and financial services industry. This unique profile ensures that eFunds' customers will continue to receive best-in-class business process outsourcing solutions, enabling them to acquire the right customers, serve them more efficiently, and keep them," he added.

Prior to joining eFunds, Mr. Gopalakrishnan spent three and a half years with BPO service provider ICICI OneSource, where he focused on managing and building that company's portfolio of clients in several industry verticals, including financial services, healthcare and telecom. His roles with ICICI OneSource included Regional Director, North America, Regional Director, Asia Pacific, and Business Process Head, Banking & Insurance. Raja's experience also includes nine years at Bank of America, two years at ABN AMRO, and one year with BPO major, Exlservice, Inc. He holds a Master's degree in Management from the Faculty of Management Studies in New Delhi.
