After 16 weeks of strenuous exercise regime, challenges, eliminations and emotional moments which could have broken any spirits, the moment everyone had been waiting has finally arrived! Biggest Loser Jeetega, SaharaOne Television's popular reality show promoting the importance of healthy living, will telecast the grand finale on Saturday September 01, 2007 at 8 p.m. Only one among the three finalists'Sandeep Sachdev, Natasha Grover and Hiren Bhawsar will be crowned the Biggest Loser of the season.
Suniel Shetty, the host of Biggest Loser Jeetega in India and the real mentor to the 16 contestants on the show will also present a solo musical performance and mark adieu to the season one of the show while setting the stage for crowing the winner.
The grand finale event will be compeered by none other than the ravishing Mandira Bedi. To spice up the evening, Malaika Arora Khan, Neha Dhupia and Rakhi Sawant will make everyone move and groove to their sizzling performances.
And if you think only our celebrities can rock the stage, check this! Thirteen eliminated contestants of Biggest Loser Jeetega will perform on a six song medley and a trio performance by our finalists Sandeep-Natasha-Hiren.
The reality show Biggest Loser Jeetega premiered on May 18, 2007. It showcased the lives of 16 obese individuals over a period of 16 weeks and their journey to fitness, complete with drama and emotions in the Biggest Loser Jeetega house at the picturesque Aamby Valley City. The show has been produced by Star Entertainment and hosted by the fit and fine actor Sunil Shetty. Celebrity trainers Deepika Mehta & Yusuf Khan helped the contestants to fight the battle with the bulge under the guidance of Health & Fitness director Andrew Leipus and nutritionist Varun Shivdasani who dished out mouth watering but low calorie diet for them over a period of four months. The contestants were also monitored constantly by eminent cardiologist Ajit Desai and pshycratrist Samir Parikh. The Biggest Loser will eventually be the winner and gets Rs. 1 lakh per kilogram lost in the last 16 weeks.
A very positive sounding and looking fitter than ever Sandeep Sachdev says, "Like always, I am totally charged up and very focused for the finals. Infact, I am looking forward to the big day since the time I have returned home."
Natasha Grover is the only girl to be among the top three finalists. She says proudly, "Girl power never fails. I am proud of my hard work and for being the only girl to reach the finals. I am on a winning trail. Chak De Phatte!"
An excited third finalist Hiren Bhawsar says, "After having a life altering experience at Aamby Valley, reaching the finals is a dream come true. I am working hard and looking forward to winning the competition."
