Festive celebration coupled with a larger than life experience… and a dream chance to pay homage to Lord Ganesha from the skies! This year on Ganesh Chaturthi, Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM is all set to take its listeners for a memorable helicopter ride on the day of Ganesh Visarjan. The station, today announced the Ganpati special contest – Yeh toh height ho gayi hai guru, centered around the festival with the beautiful Amrita Arora at Film City.

Winners of the contest, a chosen few will take off for a cherished helicopter ride for the grand Ganpati visarjan on Tuesday September 25, courtesy Radio Mirchi. Air borne, they will be able to enjoy a fabulous view of the celebrations.

In addition, Radio Mirchi will have specials where listeners can participate in a contest such as Request Ganpati bappa to solve one problem of the city, “Ganpati Bappa Kay Tari Kara”. Ganpati songs will be a part of the regular play list. Khoobsurat and Hello Mumbai on Radio Mirchi will broadcast highlights from some of the unique Ganpati pandals in Mumbai and celebrity chefs will share Maharashtrian recipes with the listeners. Post the Ganesh visarjan on Wednesday September 26 2007, Mirchi team along with the listeners will clean Juhu beach leading to the visarjan point as part of its clean Mumbai drive.
