Shaadi.com – the World’s largest Matrimonial Services Provider, has recently tied-up with Giveindia.org, to encourage the concept of gifting donations at weddings. The pioneers of online matrimony have taken this initiative to help couples share their joy of coming together with not just their friends and family, but also with less privileged strangers they have never even met before.
In furtherance to this tie-up, Shaadi.com members now have the option of asking their invitees to gift them a donation via Give India for their wedding.
Shaadi.com offers its members three options to gift their donations:
Members can set aside a stipulated amount from their wedding budget to donate to a cause, or
They can ask Friends & Family to ‘Gift A Donation’ to them as a wedding gift, or
They can donate their wedding cash gift themselves to Give India
Commenting on this initiative, Mr. Vibhas Mehta, Business Head, Shaadi.com, said, “Shaadi.com has always strived to help people find true happiness. And we strongly believe that happiness always multiplies when shared. There is an increasing number of socially conscious couples today who would like to tie values with vows, and this is our way of helping them bring a sparkle to millions of lives across the nation. Moreover this being our 10th Anniversary year, we are more than happy to share our joy through such noble causes, which we will definitely support whenever we can,”
Give India is a recognized platform for online donations in India with over 100 NGOs listed with them. Give India has listed various NGOs supporting diverse issues – Children, Women, Human Rights, Environment, Health, Education, Youth, etc. - providing socially conscious couples with a choice of causes to aid. Couples can choose to donate to an NGO dealing with a subject close to their interests and representing the ideals they believe in as individuals.
With this new offering, Shaadi.com maintains that there is no better way to start a newly married life than the warm feeling of sending a poor girl to school, helping a disabled person to walk or feeding a hungry child.
