Dainik Bhaskar presents the 'Bhaskar Punjab Ratna Awards'

Dainik Bhaskar will be completing a year in Punjab on October 8, 2007. On occasion of their anniversary, the Bhaskar group has announced the launch of the 'Bhaskar Punjab Ratna Awards'. These awards will aim to honour the talented people of Punjab, who have contributed to the state and gained excellence in their respective fields.

There will be nominations in twelve different categories each with its own criteria; Industrial, Music Direction, Singing, Cinema, Social Service, Sports, Journalism, Education and contribution as an NRI. There will also be a Lifetime Achievement Award, Empowered Woman Award and Entrepreneur Award.

The winner from amongst the five final nominees will be chosen by an esteemed panel of judges along with the people of Punjab via SMS, letter or email.

Says Mr Dharmendra Atri, GM Punjab, Dainik Bhaskar, 'The Bhaskar Punjab Ratna Awards will felicitate the people who have contributed to the state of Punjab. This will encourage other people to come forward and contribute.'
