9X to give children of Delhi a chance to shine

9X, the mega Hindi General Entertainment Channel, is giving a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the kids of New Delhi to make their parents and their City proud! The channel has announced that it is holding auditions in the capital - Delhi, for a first-of-its-kind reality talent show Chak De Bachche.

The auditions will be held on Saturday the 8th of March 2008, at Pragati Maidan, in New Delhi. Registration for auditions will be done at the venue on a first-come-first-serve basis, starting 9 a.m on Saturday, the day of the audition. Auditions are open to children in the age group of 8-14 years, to help bring forth their untapped talent.

Indrani Mukerjea, Founder & CEO, INX Media Pvt. Ltd., said, "Chak De Bachche, which 9X will soon launch, is a dance-and-music extravaganza that will showcase exciting young talent from across the country. This bi-weekly show conceived and directed by Gajendrra Siingh, will air on Fridays and Saturdays, and will put the spotlight on the best talent among the 8 to 14 age group. Auditions for the show will happen all over India. After the overwhelming response from Ahmedabad, Varanasi, Indore Raipur, Mumbai, Kolkata and Jaipur for the auditions, we now come to, New Delhi because of the wonderful talent in the city."

The director of the show, Gajendrra Siingh, said, "With Chak De Bachche, we will try to take music reality shows to another level. This show will have participants who are excellent in not just singing but as well as dancing. For Chak De Bachche, we will try to seek out complete performers."
