It was a moment of celebration as the lead cast of Star Plus’ # 1 show “Bidaai” inaugurated the first ever Star Parivaar Asia Wedding Fair at the JW Marriott Hotel in Mumbai. As Sadhana (Sara Khan), Ragini (Parul Chauhan), Ranbir (Kinshuk Mahajan) & Alekh (Angad Hasija) cut the ribbon to open the exhibition, there was a thunderous round of applause at the venue to celebrate the beginning of the new wedding season. The lead cast entered the decorated venue, and walked through an amazing variety of wedding garments, jewellery and accessories on display. With unique and distinct apparel designs for the festive season, ethnic Indian jewellery and finest hand crafted jewellery on display, it is a total delight for the shopaholic.

The artists inaugurated the “Star Style Studio”, which would provide a platform for visitors to seek expert advice in styling, beauty and fashion. Leading hair stylist Javed Habib and cosmetic experts Chambor will provide a complete make-up solution, whilst stylists from Star would provide design support to the couples to help them choose the right ensemble and create the ‘look of the season’ with a combination of apparel, jewellery, hair and make-up solutions.

The Star Parivaar Asia Wedding Fair is an extension of the brand licensing program for “Star Parivaar” into the exhibition space under a license association with Introduction Trade Shows. The first of the series of national exhibitions is being held in Mumbai on October 3, 4 & 5, 2008 at the JW Marriott followed by the second exhibition in Bangalore on October 10, 11 & 12, 2008 at the Leela Palace.
