Business & Economy India's most influential business & economy magazine published by Planman Media, organized Business & Economy Leadership and Excellence Awards, a night  of achievement and celebration to honour the leaders of India Inc. The evening was organized at ITC Maurya, New Delhi.

The evening was hosted by the charming and vivacious television star, Mona Singh. The event was organized by Planman Media and supported by Television Partner Zee Business, Imaging Partner Canon and Online Media Partner Exchange4Media.

The nominations for the B&E awards were tracked down after an extensive research and analysis of the accomplishments of the corporate and political India.

The three parameters taken into consideration were Profitability, Growth and Market Share. The research involved 3 stages of selection.

The first stage involved preparing a master list comprising the names of companies and individuals that were selected on the basis of their performance in the last financial year. The second stage involved the short-listing of names from the master list prepared in the first stage. In the final stage of selection the Senior Editorial team scanned the short listed names of companies and individuals. After rigorous research and numerous sessions of brainstorming, they came to a consensus and formulated the final nomination list.
