‘The Passion of the Christ’ this Good Friday only on PIX

PIX-the premium English movie channel from Multi Screen Media Pvt Ltd is set to air ‘The Passion of the Christ’ to commemorate the sentiment of Good Friday on the 10th of April at 12 noon. Having won several awards and nominations including those at the Oscars, ‘The Passion of the Christ’, takes you through the last crucial twelve hours in the life of Jesus Christ. Co-written, co-produced and directed by non other than Hollywood’s successful actor Mel Gibson, the 2004 movie is said to be the most successful, controversial and one of the highest rated films of all time.

This film depicts the final hours of Jesus Christ, starting from His prayers in the Garden of Gethsemane and His betrayal at the hands of Judas Iscariot. It goes on to show the trials He endured under Pontius Pilate and King Herod as well as the torture and ridicule He suffered in between. Once the death sentence is pronounced, He carries a heavy wooden cross to Golgotha amidst throngs of jeering citizens and horrendous beatings, while a few citizens do what they can to help Him. Throughout this time, we are shown memories from His past with His mother and Disciples, where He gives His teachings. Finally, He is crucified, dies, and is buried, but resurrects from the dead on the third day.

PIX has recently acquired more than 100 new movies and presents its Summer Innings with a new line up of movies from Oscar winning performances to some of the biggest hits in recent years everyday at 7:00 pm and 11:30 pm. ‘The Passion of the Christ’ is one among other movies obtained that includes Slumdog Millionaire, Da Vinci Code, Outlander, Spiderman 2, Goodbye Bafna, Honey Dripper, I’m Not There, Austin Powers, Gandhi, August Rush, Terminator, Godzilla, Hitch and many more titles.
