After the successful launch of its summer kids’ festival last year, Zee Cinema brings back the best of movies in the second season of ‘Dopahar Zee Cinema Par’ starting May 18th. Zee Cinema has shown a consistent growth during the summers with its performance over the last three weeks, a phenomenon similar to its past record during the period. The Summer Festival which was a hot favorite amongst kids had shown a steep increase in the TVR by 87% and the reach by 14% (CS 4-14) in 2008. The overall Increase in TVR was by 33% and that of the reach was by 13% (CS 4+). Besides a treat of a blockbuster each day, kids can also win cameras by participating in the ‘Dopahar Zee Cinema Par’ contest devised specially for them.
The festival will run from Monday to Friday at 12 noon and will showcase all time favorites like Dhol, Hungama, Awaara Paagal Deewana, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Phir Hera Pheri, Mr India, Amar Akbar Anthony, Coolie, Tarzan - The Wonder Car alongwith the premiere of Himesh Reshammiya’s Aap Ka Suroor.
Mohan Gopinath, Business Head, Zee Cinema, said, "Summer is an extremely critical time for us as alongwith family’s entertainment we have to take care of kids’ choice as well, since they rule the roost during vacations. Dopahar Zee Cinema Par was one of the top rated blocks last year and hence taking our learnings ahead; we decided to continue with the festival once again. Kids love puzzles and hence our contest has been devised in a way that they would love to take up the challenge and solve them."
With respect to the ‘Dopahar Zee Cinema Par Contest’, a famous personality’s face would be displayed hidden behind blocks alongwith clues related to the personality. The face would be slightly revealed during each break and as the number of clues increase simultaneously. Kids will have to guess the personality and SMS it to 57575. Lucky winners will get cameras to make their vacations memorable.
