As always, CVO lives up to its claim of ‘All the stars, All the time’ and so the month is swathed with Legends, Icons, Superstars, Matinee Idols, Beauty Queens, Dimpled Divas, Oomphy Queens and Sultry Sirens. “Enjoy the month packed with blockbusters, evergreen hits, classics, family dramas, love stories, laugh riots peppered with some serious cinema” says Sumeet Das, G.M. – Marketing and Branding.

Premiere Blockbuster, Kalyug, 19 July, 9 pm

CVO presents Mukesh Bhatt’s Kalyug this July as its Premiere Blockbuster. Everything is normal in Kunal’s life when fate brings Renuka, a young orphan into his life. The two fall in love and get married, and things go downhill from there. The couple are secretly filmed whilst on their honeymoon, and these tapes are sold everywhere. The police arrest them, and unable to cope with the humiliation Renuka commits suicide. Kunal manages to get bail, and a quest to prove his innocence and uncover the truth leads him straight to the dark underbelly of Zurich. Armed with only a picture of a famous Indian porn star Annie, Kunal gets ready to fight a faceless foe.

The other Sunday Nites will have Bobby Deol and Ajay Devgan in Tango Charlie (5 July) , Manoj Bajpai and Raveena Tandon in Shool (12 July) and Arjun Rampal and Priyanka Chopra in Asambhav (26 July)

Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani, Mondays 9 pm

Catch family dramas on CVO every Monday this month. From the Anil Kapoor, Meenashi, Deepti Naval and Raj Kiran starrer Ghar Ho To Aisa, to the Raj Babbar, Smita Patil, Meenaskshi Sheshadri starrer Mera Ghar Mere Bache, to Mehendi starring Faraaz Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Himani Shivpuri and Sajan Bina Suhagan starring Rajendra Kumar, Nutan and Vinod Mehra.

Each house is unlike the other and so are the family members and circumstances.

Matter of Heart, Tuesday 9 pm

Catch the different flavours of romance on Tuesdays on CVO. From Kamal Hassan and Rati Agnihotri in Ek Duje Ke Liye, Dil Aashna Hai starring Shahrukh Khan, Divya Bharti and Dimple Kapadia, Salman Khan and Raveena Tandon in Patthar Ke Phool, and Saif Ali Khan, Kajol and Aditya Pancholi in Hamesha. So while its drizzling outside, stay indoors and tune in to CVO to enjoy the sizzling chemistry between these love-jodis.

Critics Choice, Sundays 10 am

A thought provoking line up featuring some of the best offbeat movies that made waves on hitting the theatre…. raised eyebrows, raised relevant questions and raised expectations. So enjoy the Sunday morning’s tea and toast with Farooque Sheikh, Smita Patil, Nasseruddin Shah in Bazaar, and then Anant Nag, Shabana Azmi, Priya Tendulkar in Ankur, followed by Amitabh Bachan, Shabana Azmi, Anupam Kher in Mein Aazad Hoon and once again Naseeruddin Shah, Anuradha Patel and Rekha in Ijaazat.

Laughter, the Best Medicine, Sundays – 1.30 p.m.

Remember Murphy’s law – If something can go wrong…. It will!!. Packed with absolute ‘laugh riots’ this prime time slot has some of the recent best best comedy flicks – Hum Kissi Se Kam Nahin, Dhol Kiska Bajega, Ramji Londonwaley and Golmaal- Fun Unlimited.

The Sunday Evening Show line-up includes the critically acclaimed Manorama – Six Feet Under (5 July) Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini starrer Baghban (12 July). ‘Dil’ featuring Aamir Khan and Madhuri Dixit is scheduled on the 19th and 26th July will have Hrithik Roshan and Amisha Patel in Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage.

Govinda Aala Re Aala, Saturday Nites

Catch Bollywood’s own Chote Miyan on CVO on Saturday Nites in movies which showcased his versatility. Watch him as a victim of fate in Naseeb, and as a target of conspiracy in Achanak. Watch him being torn between Raveena Tandon and Mahima Choudhary in Sandwich. Also catch him play the dutiful son in Karz Chukana Hai.
