Epics say that Navratra is a celebration of the victory of Goddess Durga, in a battle with evil asuras. Swords clashed and shields clinked between the Goddess and the devils for nine long days, until she put an end to them on the tenth day of the battle, also called Dussehra.

Cut to the 21st century; swords and arrows now take the back seat. Asuras of the 21st century are all powerful, with weapons of mass annihilation at their disposal. It is now upto the modern day heroes to do away with these evil forces. With gleaming guns, nuclear weapons and dangerous gadgets in tow, a fierce battle ensues between them on STAR Movies beginning from the first night of Navratra. STAR Movies presents the modern day battle, "Dussehra version 2.0" a series of the most intriguing movies depicting the clash between the good and the evil from the 19th to the 28th of September at 11pm.

STAR Movies invites its viewers to celebrate Navratra with titles like Fantastic Four – Rise of the Silver Surfer, Transporter, Project A – Part II, Behind Enemy Lines, Species II, Dracula 2000, John Rambo, New Police Story and finally The Chronicles of Narnia – Prince Caspian. 9 nights between the 19th of September to the 28th of September (except 25th September) will witness movies depicting gritty 21st century heroes, eviler evil forces, fierce battles, mass annihilation and finally, the triumph of good over evil.
