STAR, a wholly owned subsidiary of News Corporation (NASDAQ: NWS) and Asia’s leading media and Entertainment Company, today announced the launch of four new South Asian channels on Comcast’s (NASDAQ: CMCSA, CMCSK) Spokane, Washington area cable platform. The channels, STAR India PLUS (India’s leading Hindi general entertainment channel), STAR ONE (Hindi entertainment), STAR India NEWS (Hindi News), and STAR India GOLD (Bollywood films) launched September 17th, to create a robust and desirable Hindi entertainment package.

As of September 17th, these new STAR channels are available to residential homes in the Spokane area.
The channels are available to order as part of a four-channel STAR Pack including STAR India PLUS, STAR India NEWS, STAR India GOLD, and STAR ONE for $24.99 per month, or customers may order STAR India PLUS as a stand-alone for $11.99 per month (monthly prices are in addition to their Comcast cable subscription).
