Delhi gets up with 'Cartoon Network Go Active Fun Run'

Delhi witnessed the first of its kind toontastic run ‘Cartoon Network Go Active Fun Run’ on Sunday, November 22 at Central Services Cricket Ground, Chanakyapuri. It was a rare sight and a breathtaking experience to see the iconic all time favourite Cartoon Network toon stars - Ben 10, Tom & Jerry, Scooby-Doo, Dexter, Johnny Bravo and many more run along 6500 kids and parents all promoting an active lifestyle.

‘Cartoon Network Go Active Fun Run’ was flagged off by kids’ popular hero, Ben 10. Entertaining the audience with their favourite antics and upping the fun quotient at the run, were exciting performances by Tom & Jerry, Dexter, Johnny Bravo and Dee Dee. Scooby-Doo welcomed and cheered the kids and parents who completed the run at the finish line. Additionally a group of five kids from Dr. Radha Krishnan International School, Defence Colony electrified the stage with their dance performance. These kids were the winners of an inter-school dance competition that was conducted by Cartoon Network in Delhi and Mumbai.

Cartoon Network’s global hero, Ben 10 presented the grand prize of an all expense paid holiday for 4 to Singapore for 4 days / 3 nights sponsored by the Destination Partner - The Singapore Tourism Board. The winning child was dressed as one of the famous Ben 10 Alien Heroes – Fourarms.

Cartoon Network Go Active is a part of the global Cartoon Network umbrella program called ‘GET ANIMATED’ designed towards promoting healthy lifestyles of kids through pro-social initiatives, wherein children are presented with fun and entertaining ways towards adopting a balanced approach and achieving a truly healthy lifestyle.

‘Cartoon Network Go Active Fun Run’ was divided into three categories for different age groups. First phase was witnessed at 8.30 a.m. Swampfire Superstars aged 5-7yrs. Followed by Humungousaur Heroes, category for 8-11 yrs at 9.30 a.m. and the third and final phase at 10.30 a.m., saw Alien X Athletes aged 12-14 yrs.
