The Union budget 2010-2011 will drive India to the next decade as Bloomberg UTV, India’s premiere Business news channel comes up with a series of Budget focused shows and panel discussions. The programming focuses on a holistic perspective on several areas of the budget. Bernie Lo, from Bloomberg International, will be in India to host a series of budget day shows that connect the Indian Budget to the world.

The Bloomberg UTV Budget programs have attempted to analyze the expectations of various stakeholders, have looked at the expectations of India Inc., and have analysed perspectives from different sectors, geographies and demographics. The channel has also examined the challenges faced by various consumer groups of the society from the Finance Minister, Pranab Mukherjee to the quintessential Mumbai housewife. Bloomberg UTV has attempted to peer into the future and learn from the lessons of the past – and in a first of its kind initiative, have an international anchor from the Bloomberg network to feature perspectives of the Indian Budget live across the globe. In keeping with the Budget mood, Bloomberg UTV also conducted an extensive activation exercise across some of the best media planning & buying houses in India, wherein a tax expert was sent to address tax related queries, and solve the professional’s tax problems, in addition to providing tax filing services.
