POGO premieres Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

On May 22, 2005, the phenomenally successful Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets™ will premiere exclusively on POGO at 2:00 pm, giving Indian viewers an opportunity to see the box office hit for the first time on TV. As an additional treat for Harry Potter fans across India, this mega blockbuster will be available in four languages including English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu exclusively on POGO. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets™ is the very special final feature broadcast within the specially created summer programming, May Movie Magic. Earlier in May, POGO premiered the classic movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Big as part of the May Movie Magic franchise.

The second installment in the Harry Potter film series finds young wizard Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) and his friends facing new challenges during their second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as they uncover a dark force that’s terrorizing the school. So, tune-in to the Indian television premiere of Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets™ to experience the magic.

Cartoon Network contributed to the Potter- mania by showcasing Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone™ on May 15 at 12:00 noon as part of its special summer programming. This was the first time that a live action programme was aired on Cartoon Network and was a momentous milestone the Network’s history in India. Premiered on POGO last year, Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone™ was rated as the most watched English movie in the month of May 2004 across all channels, in C&S, 4-14, TAM INDIA Surveyed.
