But what happens when the two bipolar opposites who fall in love also happen to hail from two very different worlds with precious little in common?
Well, that's when you have a ' Ram Milaayi Jodi '! Anuklap , a shy, soft-spoken boy from a conservative Gujarati family and Mona , a bubbly, spunky girl from a hearty Punjabi family ... A blissful union "tailored to perfection" in match- making heaven! Or is it?
Premiering on Zee TV at 9:30 PM on Monday, 20th September, 'Preet Se Bandhi Ye Dori Ram Milaayi Jodi' is a heart-warming drama that presents an interesting take on the myriad differences between two Indian communities brought together by two people in love. Cast as Anukalp and Mona are fresh faces Nishant Malkani and Priyal Gor.
Playing the Gujarati and Punjabi family members with flair is a fine assortment of well-known faces inlcuding Krutika Desai, Lalit Tiwari, Riva Bubber, Chitrapama and Suneel Sinha.

While Rajita Sharma is credited with the scripting and creative direction of several successful shows on Indian television, Viveck Budakoti has assisted prominent filmmakers such as Ketan Mehta and Sudhir Mishra, written for films like Sangeeth Sivan's 'Click' and directed the critically-acclaimed digital short film 'Image'.
