Tune in to watch Sneha work her magic with the help of sounds from looms and handicraft workshops, on MTV’s Soundtrippin, on 26th May, this Saturday @ 8.30p.m.,only on MTV.

In this episode, Sneha travels to Majuli in Assam. Located in the middle of the Brahmaputra River, it boasts of its crafts like mask making and boat making. With a slowly disappearing island, Sneha travels to Majuli, to explore, to meet its people, to hear its sounds and eventually make a song that is fitting to this beautiful and unique location. She collects sounds from looms and a boat makers workshop. With the help of a local guide and singer, Romen Regong, he organizes a cultural show consisting of traditional song and dance. The resulting track, ‘Jiyai Rakha’ meaning ‘Keep Me Alive’, is the embodiment of Majuli’s current situation, with one eye on its past and the other firmly placed on its future.
