Devang Patel on the hot seat of etc's Pop Ki Aandhi

Music channel etc plans to feature Devang Patel, known for his funny music, on its heat seat of Pop Ki Aandhi for the first half of April. Patel is in news with his latest album 'Patel Scope-3'.

Pop Ki Aandhi is a special slot dedicated to music personalities who are in news for their latest work. Each month etc features two such musicians - each for a fortnight. Besides exclusive shows with the artist, etc features songs of their liking from their forthcoming album.

In Pop Ki Aandhi, Devang Patel will talk about his music life and all that is dear to him -including his perception of laughter and how he conceives rib-tickling music. His fans can catch him on Friday, April 11, at 8.00 pm (repeat on Tuesday, April 15 at 6.00 pm).

Devang set foot in the music industry with his song "Madhuri Dixit Milee Raste Mein", and endeared himself to the listeners with his voice and lyrics. Explaining why he thrives on parodies and spoofs, Patel said, "From the beginning my likings were exact opposite of others. So in music too, instead of the regular emotions, lost love, trees, flowers and passion, I talk about the things that are of no interest to others. That's how I end up using words like Baniyaan, Ganjee, Pichadee, Chappal or Joota, without being offensive."
