Here’s a chance for kids to win a free personal computer and a tablet. No entry fees. No SMS. In short no gimmicks. All that smart kids have to do is carefully collect 40 cuttings of “Kids corner” section published in The Free Press Journal newspaper. This information section devoted to kids is carried six days a week and carries loads of informative stuff, which you are unlikely to read elsewhere.
So what’s the catch? None actually. It’s a promotional event & to encourage children to read and imbibe information that makes them well rounded individuals. From the educational angle, it aims to inculcate the prudent habit of newspaper reading and to enhance student’s knowledge.
So just collect 40 cuttings of “Kids Corner”, buy any kind of scrap book and let your imagination run riot. You can make stories, events, announcements, spoofs, cartoons, monologues, and dialogues just about anything with the help of the 40 scraps. And then submit your scrapbook to The Free Press Journal office. That’s it seriously. The three points that your entry would be judged on are imagination, creativity & command over English to prepare a scrapbook.
The selection process for prizes involves an esteemed panel of judges who would select the winners of the contest. The 1st Prize of the contest is One Personal Computer sponsored by Zenith Computers & 2nd Prize is an Educational Tablet sponsored by Mango Learning. Other Consolation prizes are sponsored by Knorr Soups-Unilever Group, Big Flix – Reliance Group, Monginis, Essel World & Water Kingdom & Kores.
This contest will run from 20th August till 20th October 2012, across Mumbai. The Free Press Journal has tied up with early 150 schools to receive your entries. So Get Set Go.....
