ROUND 1: 8 Teams battle it out at the Radio One The Media Cafe karaoke championship

The first round of the 3 round battle of the Radio One Media and creative agency karaoke championship saw a lot of participation. 8 teams registered for the first round and a total of 2 winners and 2 runner ups have qualified for the final round to he held on 20th December. The contestants were also joined in the singing by people from radio one and people who were visiting TMC. Songs ranging from international classics to current favorites were belted out by the contestants in a high energy evening.

The next round will happen at on the 6th of December, Thursday at the The Media Cafe Gurgaon and registrations are open for the same.

The winners and runner ups of this weeks round are (Winner Male- Ajinkya Ketkar- Agency Membrane inc, Winner Female- Moumita- Agency Lowe Lintas, Runner Up Male Joby John- Agency Membrane inc & Runner Up Female Mansi Bansal- Agency Madison Communication Pvt Ltd)

The championship was judged by Mr S. Lee McManis (Deputy Spokesperson of the US embassy in Delhi), Chris, radio one's morning host and Raghav, co-founder and owner of TMC. The Radio One Karaoke Challenge last Thursday, November 29th, at The Media Café in Gurgaon was an excellent event. I was given the opportunity to meet some real rock ‘n roll fans, many of whom were talented singers as well! I noticed the crowd mostly consisted of young professionals and students, a dynamic group which is the future of India.

Agencies can register for the next round at these numbers. Prizes also include special tickets to the Guns and Roses concert in Delhi
