The search is finally over, the lucky ones are selected and its time now to set on the much awaited journey on television, MTV Hero Roadies X – MAUKA HAI, YA DHOKHA HAI, starting 23rd February, every Saturday@7pm only on MTV. The tenth season will see the creator Raghu, pitted against his very own creation Rannvijay. After travelling the length of the country to select 8 new Roadies to join Rannvijay’s team and Raghu handpicking 8 Roadies from the last 9 seasons for his team, both are geared for the battle for glory.

This season the title of Roadies will be fought and won in India, the place where it all began ten years back. With the route mapped out through the scenic locales of the north-east of India, the journey kicks off from Kohima (Nagaland) to Mokukchung and then to Jorhat (assam) and then moves towards Kaziranga National Park and from then on to Tezpur and from there to Bhalukpong (Arunachal Pradesh) and Bomdila and finally Tawang.

Mr. Aditya Swamy, EVP and Business Head, MTV India explains, “Roadies X is already at the No1. slot in the genre, even before the journey has begun. Over 12 MM video views have already been clocked for this season. There are people in countries as far away as New Zealand following Roadies. The Raghu vs Rannvijay challenge has got the youth hooked. All bets are on as the battle for glory unfolds every Sat at 7 pm”

The battle for glory will not be fought between contestants but Rannvijay and my team. Interspersed with this absolutely new concept will be some hard-hitting stunts, nail biting, electrifying and exhilarating moments as we traverse through the locales of north east India”.

VJ Rannvijay explains, “The concept creator V/S the creation is unique and new. The audiences are going to see a completely new Raghu and completely new Rannvijay. Considering it’s the celebration of a decade the game has been raised to unprecedented levels. The tasks get tougher each year but this time, surviving it will become the toughest task”

This year the thrill –seekers who have managed to make a mark on the judges and earned a spot in Rannvijays team are Geetika from Delhi, Sonal from Delhi, Vikas from Delhi, Zahid from Varanasi, Ramandeep from Delhi, Swati from Ettah, Harmeet from Panipat, Gaurav from Meerut and handpicked by Raghu for his team from the contestants of the last 9 seasons are Roopali from season 4, Palak from season 6, Roop from season 6, Mohit from season 8, Suchit from season 8, Diyali from season 9, Avatar from season 8, Anirudh from season 9.

Over 9 years, with 500 million viewers on TV, 3,50,000 auditions, having travelled 5 continents, rated the most social TV show in the world, a highly engaged digital community, and a cult following among the youth. The Roadies craze is already on a high with the current season being the top rated show in the genre. MTV Hero Roadies through its past seasons has always managed to enthrall its audience with striking locations, challenging tasks and the drama revolving around the elimination and wild card entries. This season will see 16 contestants set themselves on an adventurous journey to prove their mettle and fight it out in the final battle for the title of the ultimate Roadie of Season X.
