The music industry came together on 27th February at Yash Raj Studios Mumbai for honoring the best of Hindi music at the 6th Royal Stag Mirchi Music Awards powered by Idea.
The starry night was lit by the presence of the biggest rockstars of the music & film industry. Javed Akhtar, Shahrukh Khan, Anandji Bhai, Madhuri Dixit, Prasoon Joshi, Subhash Ghai, Shankar Mahadevan, Nargis Fakhri, Ila Arun, Alka Yagnik, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Ileana D’Cruz, Varun Dhawan and many more.
The Awards Night was hosted by none other than versatile Sonu Niigaam and stand up comedian/actor Manish Paul. The audience was entertained by some breath taking performances by Vishal Shekhar, Arijit Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, Mika, Sonu Niigaam and the talented young voices of Aditya Narayan, Naqash, Ankit Tiwari, Aditi Singh Sharma and Anmol Malik.
The highlight of the Awards Night was Shahrukh Khan receiving Face of Romantic Music Award. The entire fraternity came together to honor Shahrukh Khan the evergreen romantic hero. Receiving the award Shahrukh said “It is great to see the entire music fraternity come together under one roof to appreciate good music and efforts put in by the music maestros. It is humbling to be honored amongst these geniuses for an award like this. I must credit the singers and the whole music team for their efforts.”
Speaking on the occasion, Prashant Panday, CEO and Executive Director, ENIL, said, “Time flies, as we celebrate the 6th Mirchi Music Awards. Am glad that the industry enthusiasm has grown with time and people look forward to the Mirchi Music Awards. Headed by Javed saab the awards enjoys the support of a huge jury panel making it an award as large as any big film award."
The award show will be telecast on Colors on Sunday, March 16, 7 pm onwards.
