Starting Monday, November 14, 2005, Star One unveils two new shows, 'Darna
Mana Hai' and 'India Calling', the latest offering in the
weekday-programming band. These shows have been packaged with unique content
and aim to capture the prime time slot.
Set against the backdrop of a leading call center, India Calling, is the
story of the victory of a young town girl Chandni over the 'hep' city
dwellers set in a fast pace city of Mumbai. Chandni lands up in this city in
search of her sister and circumstances lead her to take up a job at India
Calling - a leading call centre. The story takes us through Chandni's life
at India Calling and her relationship with Aditya, the owner of the call
centre.
Packed with mass appeal, this show promises to be a unique daily drama
filled with emotions, romance, laughter and much more. India Calling is
scheduled to go on air from November 14, 2005 from Monday-Wednesday at
9:30pm.
The second addition, Darna Mana Hai, is India's first ever television
adaptation of a Bollywood Blockbuster. Each episode with a gripping new
horror story every week, beginning on Monday and climaxing on Thursday is
guaranteed to keep audiences hooked to the show. This spine chilling horror
is set in a very urban contemporary and identifiable milieu, which the
audience can immediately relate to.
'Darna Mana Hai' features a star cast of popular faces from film and TV, an
acclaimed panel of directors like Saurabh Shukla, Pawan Kaul, Saurabh Narang
& Vivek Agnihotri and production by K Sera Sera. The show is scheduled to go
on air from November 14, 2005 from Monday-Thursday at 10:00pm.
