Discovery Travel & Living is all set to showcase France to its viewers. Vive La France is a new series of five special one-hour programmes in which the viewers will be taken for a tour of France. It is to be aired in the country every day, from July 10 to July 14, at 9 p.m.
A preview of this special line up was held at the French Embassy on July 7.This series is to set the ball rolling for the July 14 Bastille Day celebrations. The set of programmes will reveal entertaining facts about the country, capturing in detail its vibrant culture and lifestyle.
On July 10, Hidden: Paris shall be telecast, which shall bring to light some typical sites, apart from the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. July 11 shall witness the showcase of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations: Paris. In an hour, Anthony Bourdain plans to tell the viewers about the people of Paris and some interesting facts about the city.
The viewers can look forward to a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower and extraordinary facts about it, on July 12. Foster, Michelle and Lisa, the hosts for the programme on July 13, plan to take the viewers around Cordon Bleu Culinary School and also explore the vast underworld of Paris.
On July 14, Christina Chang takes the viewers around to Lourdes and even Roquefort region, where she learns about strong smelly cheese in Globe Trekker: South of France. She ends her trip at the very famous, Cannes.
