STAR Plus to air Karam Apnaa Apnaa, starting Aug 29 at 9.30pm

STAR Plus has announced the launch of its new prime-time weekday show, Karam Apnaa Apnaa, starting Aug 29 at 9.30pm. With this programme, the channel, once again, endeavours to bring to the fore Bengali culture by reliving and recreating some precious historical moments from Kolkata.

Keeping the Indian morals, traditions and values alive on all its shows, the channel has many a times brought various religious occasions and events to the centre stage through its content and programming initiatives in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kasauti Zindagi Kay, Kumkum, Shanno Ki Shaadi, Baa Bahu Aur Baby just to name a few.

The shoot of the show been extensively done in the locales of Kolkata around Victoria Memorial, on the banks of river Hoogli , at Howrah Bridge etc. So much so that the show's first episode will open with the popular track from Bollywood's last year blockbuster Parineeta (Kaisi Paheli Zindagani). On which, June Malia will recreate the magic of the classic Parineeta number.

June, a popular Kolkata based artist will dance to the specially recreated song (originally performed by Rekha in Parineeta).
