JWT Bangalore wins ING Vysya Bank’s creative account

Following a multi-agency pitch, JWT Bangalore bags the creative duties for ING Vysya Bank. The account is estimated to be Rs 20 crore

ING Vysya Bank, which has a strong presence in South India, has hired JWT Bangalore as it creative agency. This is one of the biggest wins for the agency’s Bangalore branch. According to the official communique, JWT beat five other leading agencies to win the business, which is estimated to be worth Rs 20 crore. Rediffusion DY&R is the incumbent agency.

ING Vysya Bank is looking to expand to other parts of the country, especially the North and the West. With JWT on board, the bank expects to ramp up its brand presence and visibility throughout the country. Initially, the campaign is likely to focus on above-the-line activities, including TV, print, outdoor and online.

Rajesh Gangwani, senior vice-president, JWT, says, “Joining the pitch so late, the team had to be incredibly focused. We were able to form a cohesive strategy around a big idea. I would like to thank everyone on the team for their determination and hard work.”

Key members of the JWT team were Prahlad Nanjappa (creative head), Navonil Chatterjee (associate vice-president, strategic planning), Tina Sachdev (associate vice-president, creative), Dennis Koshy (associate vice-president, account management), Karan Doshi (creative supervisor), and Krishna Prasad (creative supervisor). The activation team from Encompass also participated in the strategy.
