Tribal’s Rammohan joins Yahoo! as national sales manager

Rammohan Sundaram will be heading performance-related campaigns at Yahoo! India

Rammohan Sundaram has been appointed National Sales Manager, Performance Accounts ,at Yahoo! India on Monday. He will be heading all performance-related marketing campaigns for the company. Our sources confirmed the development, though when contacted, Sundaram declined to comment.

Sundaram was earlier the National Sales Director at digital agency Tribal DDB India since July 2005. Prior to that, he was general manager, Business Development, at Madison. He has been in the media and marketing industry for about twelve years.

Reputed to be an aggressive sales driver, Sundaram’s expertise could help Yahoo! strengthen its performance marketing initiatives in an evolving online ad market. Performance marketing is a relatively new term in the Indian scene, which is based on cost-per-action or cost-per-lead advertising arrangements instead of click-throughs or cost-per-thousand.

Recently, dgm entered India with its performance marketing services and will soon be joined by Publicitas Digital. Microsoft stepped up its sales effort in April with the launch of its re-branded sales effort, Digital Advertising Solutions. Yahoo! is yet to announce its advanced Panama advertising system in India, which offers better targeting tools to advertisers.
