Headquartered in Delhi, the venture is a brand strategy and content marketing consultancy offering an array of services to brands.
Mona Rai, the former head of marketing, Tata Chemicals and Rashmi Berry, ex-CMO of HomeShop 18 have joined forces to go independent and set-up Brand Story Consult, a brand strategy and content marketing consultancy. The firm offers services in brand strategy and portfolio development, segmentation and marketing strategy, communication strategy and content marketing and implementation assistance.
Announcing the launch, Berry, consulting partner, Brand Story Consult says, "We help build or reposition brands to be culturally and behaviorally relevant in today's rapidly changing brand, media and consumer environment. Let's face it, what worked 10 years ago, doesn't work as well anymore and brands need to work on new strategies to win in the new market place. We are in a different space from existing communication or content agencies, as we engage at the strategy-level and we stay back to protect the insights and ideas right up-to roll-out, across media platforms."
One of the enablers for the content marketing practice is a strong team of authoritative content creators, with genre and segment specialisation. Brand Story has created a relevant network of talent who can deliver high quality engaging content, across platforms.
"We work like an extended arm of the business. That is what differentiates us from existing consultancies as well," says Mona Rai, adding, "after all, the real test of an effective strategy is only experienced in execution."
Berry and Rai worked together at Quadra Advisory, Brand Strategy Consultancies promoted by WPP and Shunu Sen, where they have engaged with numerous brand strategy engagements across FMCG, lifestyle, IT & retail categories. During their stint at Quadra, some of the brands they repositioned and re-launched include Titan, Sundrop, All Out, Hero Motocorp, Peter England, Ritu Kumar and Max Healthcare.
Berry has had a rich experience across advertising and leading media companies such as Star TV, Living Media & HT Media, where she launched Fever 104 FM, re-launched Hindustantimes.com as well as numerous other digital & mobile brands during a six-year stint. Rai, started her career in journalism with A&M magazine and besides Quadra Advisory, where she has had the longest stint, she has worked with Henley Centre, a WPP insights and marketing consultancy.
BrandStory is headquartered in Delhi and is already engaged with a diverse portfolio of clients across India and the Asia-Pacific in diverse industries from consumer products, lifestyle, technology and rural marketing bringing cross industry learnings, robust insights and planning processes as well as practical cross media implementation experience.
