Julius Augustine to step into Sodhi’s shoes at Intellect

Julius Augustine, associate vice-president, Media Futures, will replace Premejeet Sodhi, former senior vice-president, at Intellect

Julius Augustine, associate vice-president, Media Futures, has been conferred the additional responsibility of heading Intellect. This follows the relocation of Premjeet Sodhi, formerly senior V-P, Intellect, to Delhi as head of Initiative. Lynn De Souza, director, Lintas Media Group, confirmed the development.

As reported earlier by agencyfaqs!, Kartik Iyer, president, Initiative, has put in his papers. He is moving to Active International, an international corporate trading firm with a specialised media practice.

In his new role, Augustine will take on from where Sodhi left off and continue to spearhead various research projects and provide proprietary media tools for Lintas Media Group. He describes Media Futures as being a ‘brand consultancy division’ for media brands.

An MBA in marketing from Sardar Patel University, Augustine’s experience spans 13 years in the market research industry. He started his career with the research division of Mudra Communications in 1993. After spending two years there, he moved to ORG MARG, where he was head of client services for the media research division. During his seven-year stint there, he designed the Media Analysis Package, which is widely used today.

He also worked with Hansa Research for four years as associate vice-president, quantitative research, before moving to Media Futures in June 2006.
