Sejal Shah is appointed VP at Publicis Groupe’s India Media Exchange

Two months after it was launched, IMX has made an appointment at the vice-president level—Sejal Shah from Lodestar Universal

India Media Exchange (IMX), the buying unit of Publicis Groupe, has roped in Sejal Shah as vice-president. Shah moves from Interpublic Group agency Lodestar Universal, where she worked as general manager, handling businesses such as Amul, Tata Teleservices, Tata Corporate, Trent, Diageo and LIC.

Shyam Shanker, president, IMX, says, “Sejal carries with her experience from a number of leading agencies and she has handled the planning and execution of campaigns for many major brands. She brings with her extensive experience in media investment strategies, negotiations and planning and buying of media across all product categories and markets.”

Prior to Lodestar Universal, Shah was working as an investment director with MindShare, and was accountable for media investment strategies, sourcing of relevant media opportunities and negotiations for a set of clients such as Mirc Electronics and Bajaj Auto. She has also worked with Tata Internet Services as manager, media and research, and with Lintas India as group manager.

Shah says, “This is a great opportunity and I am looking forward to being a part of the paradigm change by virtue of being an element in the IMX framework. IMX believes that scale needs to be leveraged in an atmosphere of collaboration to deliver the context specific solutions that become a source of competitive advantage for our clients. I am eager to be in a position to bring about this change as we move into a more context specific era.”

IMX has been created to manage the combined buying of traditional media for existing and new clients of the Starcom MediaVest Group and Zenith Optimedia in India.
