Rana Barua had joined Radio City in 2006 as head, South zone
Rana Barua, executive vice-president and national head, programming and marketing, Radio City is currently serving his notice period at the organisation. He put in his papers last week.
Barua joined Radio City in 2006 as marketing head, South zone, taking charge of three key markets in the South -- Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai. He was soon elevated to the post of national marketing head.
In 2008, as part of the restructuring process at Radio City, Barua was given the additional responsibility of programming.
Barua has 14 years of experience, of which 10 years have been in the advertising world. Prior to joining Radio City, he was with Bates Enterprises as branch head, Mumbai. Besides Bates Enterprises, he has been associated with agencies such as Rediffusion DY&R, McCann-Erickson, Lowe, O&M and JWT.
Though Barua's next step could not be ascertained, speculation is rife that he would go back to advertising.
