Karan Shroff, the former head of Brand Marketing at Xiaomi India has joined Unacademy, a start-up in the ed-tech space. Shroff has joined as VP Marketing and will report to Gaurav Munjal, co-founder and CEO of Unacademy.
In his current role he will be responsible for all of the brands marketing functions including ATL, BTL, social media, digital marketing and PR.
Over the 4.5 years with Xiaomi, Shroff was responsible for advertising, ATL campaigns, sponsorships, brand partnerships, media buying, consumer insights, creative marketing and overall brand positioning.
"I felt that I need to move to a newer and bigger challenge. Also, I found the Unacademy story really inspiring once I met the co founders. An opportunity to contribute to the Industry in the field of education really excited me," Shroff says.
Prior to Xiaomi, Shroff has had stints with organisations like Wizcraft International Entertainment, Pixies Events, Bertelsmann and Herbalife International India.
