Kids always try to imitate their favourite cartoon characters. They want to look like them and act like them. Taking this concept to the on-ground level, kids channel Pogo has launched a school contact programme, 'Chhota Bheem ka Fatafat Formula' that encourages kids to become like Chhota Bheem and fight evil bravely.
The activation teaches basic self-defence techniques to young school children to protect themselves and those around them. Using Chhota Bheem as the inspiration, trained personnel appointed by Pogo teach kids from standard 1 to 8 simple manoeuvres that will help them to protect themselves and their young friends, and escape unharmed from dangerous situations. The session is designed to be fun, interactive and engaging, providing an optimum learning environment for the children. At the end of the session, kids get a certificate from Chhota Bheem and some goodies.
In Delhi, Chhota Bheem ka Fatafat Formula covers 80 schools. To add to the excitement, Chhota Bheem also makes a surprise visit at the schools and entertains kids with a special performance. Children are thrilled to see their favourite toon star and are eager to learn new techniques from Chhota Bheem himself.
The activation, which began about a month ago, will conclude in the last week of August and cover 550 schools across six cities in India that includes Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Chennai.
Through this programme, Pogo aims to empower children and also impress upon them the importance of safety in day-to-day life, and impart basic self-defence techniques to school children.
Monica Tata, general manager, Entertainment Networks South Asia, Turner International India, says, "Pogo understands the influence that its shows and characters have on children and hence, has always aimed to engage them through various innovative and constructive initiatives. The idea behind this year's school contact programme is to not only to entertain kids but also teach them simple techniques to protect themselves and their friends from harmful situations, just like Chhota Bheem. School contact programmes are an excellent platform to bridge the gap between kids and their favourite channel and cartoons."Major stories over the last 30 days
