Pankaj Wadhwa bags this year’s ‘International Marketer of the Year’ Award

The award is conferred by the Marketing Agencies Association Worldwide (MAA) in Chicago to an individual who has impacted the marketing industry in a significant way

Pankaj Wadhwa, managing director, Kidstuff Promos & Events, has been awarded the ‘International Marketer of the Year’ Award for 2005.

The award is conferred by the Marketing Agencies Association Worldwide (MAA), in Chicago, to an individual who has impacted the marketing industry in a significant way in his/her country of residence.

An enthused Wadhwa says, “It is indeed an honour to win such an esteemed award and a privilege to be on the same platform as some of the stalwarts in the industry. This award is recognition for the work we have done for our clients.”

Madhukar Kamath, managing director and CEO, Mudra, adds, “Wadhwa has done us proud. The accolade is well deserved. His vast experience in promotional marketing and commitment to improving the business will allow Kidstuff to continue to be a leader in this sector.”

Early this year, the Mudra Group had acquired Kidstuff Promos & Events, which is a promotional marketing services company involved in all aspects of below-the-line activities.

For the record, the Marketing Agencies Association Worldwide is the only global organisation dedicated solely to CEOs, presidents, managing directors and principals of top marketing services agencies. Past winners of this award have been Andrew Oh, international marketing manager, LG Electronics, Korea; Kenneth Strottman, founder and CEO of Strottman International, USA; and Pierre Cohen-Tanugi, founder of the integrated French agency, Eccla.
