JWT ready to grab Monster.com account

The size of the business is pegged to be upwards of Rs 10 crore

Monster.com, which was being handled by McCann-Erickson till recently, is up for review. And if sources are to be believed, JWT is all set to get the creative duties for the account, estimated to be worth Rs 10 crore.

O&M, Delhi, was also in the race for this business, but it has now been informed that it is not getting the business and that the decision was taken on the basis of the creatives presented by the participating agencies. This also indicates that the business has moved to JWT.

When agencyfaqs! contacted Monster.com, Dhruvakanth B Shenoy, vice-president, marketing, MonsterAsia, declined to comment. All he would say is that the communication strategy this time around was to emphasise on the new job search engine. He says, “The latest job search engine is intuitive and gives accurate results as per the requirement. The communication will highlight this factor of how to find relevant jobs from the more than two lakh jobs available.”

For the record, McCann-Erickson has been handling the Monster.com business since January 2005, following a multi-agency pitch, which included Mudra and O&M as well. During this time, Monster.com shifted its base from Bangalore to Delhi and decided to review its creative duties instead of moving the business to Mudra, Delhi, as the agency’s Bangalore branch was handling the business then.
