O&M’s Anindya Banerjee joins Contract, Delhi, as creative director

Banerjee will work particularly on three brands, GNIIT, Fortis and Dabur

Anindya Banerjee has joined Contract, Delhi, as creative director. He has moved from O&M, Delhi, where he was a creative consultant.

Banerjee will report to Ashish Chakraborty, V-P, creative, Contract.

Confirming this development to agencyfaqs!, Banerjee says, “I shall be working particularly on three brands, GNIIT, Fortis and Dabur.”

Talking about his mandate, Banerjee says, “The momentum has started. I simply have to push the brands forward. I would also be shouldering Ashish’s (Chakraborty) responsibility because he cannot be available everywhere.”

Banerjee began as a trainee with Contract, Delhi, and went on to work with the agency for five years as a creative consultant. He specifically recollects working on the NIIT brand with Vidur Vohra and Bhupesh Luther at that time and says that his previous experience on the NIIT brand will be very beneficial for Contract.

He then moved on to join O&M, Bangalore, in 2000 as creative consultant and spent five years there. Last year, he shifted back to O&M, Delhi.

During his career span, Banerjee has worked on brands such as NIIT, Limca, Titan, IBM, Hutch, Louis Philippe, Eno, Crocin, Satyam Cineplex, Passport and HT (Digital Media, SMS Service-4242).

“The kind of people I have met and the challenges I have faced have helped me become what I am today. NIIT, IBM ThinkPad’s direct marketing and guerrilla activities and the latest campaign that is being run for Limca have been close to my heart,” he says.
