Rupam Ganguly has joined Grey Worldwide, New Delhi, as branch head. He will be designated as vice-president, Grey Worldwide, and will report to Nirvik Singh, chairman and president, Grey Global Group, South and Southeast Asia.
Ganguly’s last designation was marketing director, APAC, Philips Electronics, Singapore. At Philips, he was actively involved in the processes of global consumer electronics marketing and advertising strategy.
Nirvik Singh says, “Rupam (Ganguly) comes to us with expertise that spans advertising and marketing in India and the Asia Pacific. His advertising experience cuts through categories with brands such as Danone, Nestle, Britannia and Mobil. With him as part of the team, the company has a lot to look forward to.”

He started his advertising career in 1989 with McCann Erickson, New Delhi. After two years, he moved to Everest Brand Solutions and worked there for three years. For the next two years, he was associated with Mudra Communications. After this, he moved to Bangalore to work with Lowe and spent five years there.
At Lowe, he was instrumental in producing communication work on Britannia that impressed the client a lot.
While working on the Britannia account at Lowe, he crossed over from advertising and joined the marketing team on the client’s side. He spent a year and a half and then joined Philips Electronics in Mumbai in 2000. As general manager, consumer and trade marketing, Philips, he drove and implemented marketing initiatives in India. After 2002 he went on to become the APAC marketing director for Philips Electronics, Singapore.
