Northpoint also runs two separate courses for those who have some experience in the field of advertising and brands, but both of them are short term courses
The Northpoint Centre of Learning in Khandala and Lintas India Group have tied up to launch another programme in advertising and brand studies. The course, which will begin in July, is described as “a professional programme in advertising and brand communication”.
Talking about the course, Sumit Roy, director, brand communications practice, Northpoint Centre, says, “It is a heavy programme. Apart from spending a lot of time in the classroom, the students will also be able to leverage hands-on experience in the field.”
The course involves 11 months of full time intensive study, combining contemporary theory with rigorous practice to prepare youngsters for a fast track career in advertising, media and marketing communications.

In addition, Northpoint runs two separate courses for those who have experience of more than three years and five years, respectively, in the field of advertising and brands. Both are short term courses.
Roy will anchor and coordinate all three courses. He gave up his coaching practice at Univbrands in December 2007 to head the Northpoint programmes in brand communication. He has been involved as a faculty member with the programme since its inception. He used to run two workshops at Northpoint (Word of Mouth Marketing and Career Planning). He also used to run modules for IIM Ahmedabad (Brand Communication Planning) and MICA (Account Planning and Brand Communication Management). Now he works full time at Northpoint.
