Twin win for TBWA, Bengaluru

The Hyderabad-based Gati and the Bengaluru-based SJR Group have signed on the agency to handle their creative duties.

Gati, a Hyderabad-based express distribution and supply chain solutions dealer and SJR Group, a Bengaluru-based company which deals in construction of residential, commercial and retail spaces, have recently roped in TBWA to handle their creative mandate. The business will be handled from the TBWA Bengaluru office.

The size of the account could not be ascertained at the time of filing the story.

There was no official pitch for the accounts. In both cases, the clients approached TBWA, Bengaluru through some people both parties knew.

Talking about the win, Nirmalya Sen, managing director, TBWA India says, "We are happy since this win followed close on the heels of the Raymond and CSIA wins in Mumbai. We will definitely make use of the opportunity, and use disruptive brand behaviour to help solve marketing problems for Gati and SJR."

Taking about the plans with its newly acquired clients, Vishal Ahluwalia, senior vice president - South, TBWA India, mentions, "Gati wants to create a powerful strategy that will help deliver its long-term vision of being a distribution and supply chain management solutions provider. SJR, on the other hand, wants to create a distinctive value proposition in Bengaluru's cluttered real-estate market. I am delighted that they chose us. We look forward to working closely with them to develop disruptive strategies and creative work."

Speaking on the appointment of TBWA Bengaluru, Dorothy Paul, head - marketing and communications, says, "Gati, which has over the years, aggressively moved forward from cargo management to being an integrated supply chain solutions company wants the association with TBWA to help give a fresh impetus to the brand positioning and brand commitment as we rise up the value chain."
