Rediffusion-Y&R has appointed Indrajeet Mookherjee as branch head, Rediffusion-Y&R, Bengaluru.
His new mandate will involve strengthening partnerships with the existing clients, and to work towards getting new business for the agency. Mookherjee will take care of clients such as United Spirits (Signature, Royal Challenge, Antiquity), ING Vysya Life Insurance, Maxo from Jyothi Laboratories, Arrow, Amante, Columbia Asia Hospital and Nitesh Estates. He will be reporting to Amitava Sinha, chief operating officer (COO) -- South and East, Rediffusion-Y&R.
Speaking to afaqs! Indrajeet Mookerjee, branch head, Rediffusion-Y&R, Bengaluru, says, "I will make use of all the experi ence and knowledge which I have gathered through my career span. My focus will be on partnering our clients in further strengthening these brands, and in the process doing some great work in keeping with the Rediffusion-Y&R tradition of creating enduring campaigns that one has grown up adm iring."
Sinha says, "With Mookherjee coming on board, we now have a strong leadership in place in Bengaluru which should help propel us to the next level."
Having an experience of more than 16 years in advertising, Mookherjee started his career with Lintas, Kolkata, after which he shifted to Lintas, Bengaluru. Then he moved to Ogilvy Mumbai as account director and later to Mudra, Mumbai, as business head. This was followed by McCann Erickson, Mumbai.
From McCann Erickson, Mookherjee shifted to Euro RSCG, Bengaluru, as associate vice-president before joining Meridian Communications, Ogilvy's second agency, as branch head, followed by Ogilvy, Bengaluru.
During his career span, he had the opportunity to work with various brands like Unilever, Nestle, ITC, Balsara Home Products, JL Morrison, Johnson & Johnson, L'Oreal, Sab Miller, Philips, Madura Garments and Arvind Brands, among others.
