YES FOUNDATION organizes YES! i am the CHANGE Popular Choice Awards

YES FOUNDATION, the social development arm of YES BANK is giving the public an opportunity to select the winners of India’s largest social film movement, YES! i am the CHANGE.50 short films - the top entries of YES! i am the CHANGE 101-Hour Indian Social Filmmaking Challenge 2014 are competing for the coveted YES! i am the CHANGE Popular Choice Award.

The public can watch the films on www.youtube.com/YesFoundationIndia and vote for their favourite film. Voting ends on January 31, 2015. Audience can also take part in a daily competition on the films being hosted on YES FOUNDATION’s Facebook page : www.facebook.com/YesFoundationIndia and win exciting prizes daily. Over 72,000 viewers have already participated in the YES! i am the CHANGE Popular Choice Awards.

The shortlisted films selected for the Popular Choice Awards are inspiring, high-quality films and represent the true spirit of positive social change. The aim is to spread mass awareness about social causes through the thought provoking films made by youth participants. These five-minute films are on social topics including ‘Education & child rights,' ‘Women’s safety', ‘Women’s empowerment,' ‘Environmental sustainability,' ‘Elderly care, ‘Animal care,' ‘Livelihood', ‘Every day hero,' ‘Responsible citizenship,' and ‘Random acts of kindness’

The film with the largest number of likes as chosen by the public will be adjudged the winner. The top three winners of the YES! i am the CHANGE Popular Choice Awards will receive prizes worth INR 25,000, INR 15,000 and INR 10,000 respectively.

The program is mentored by eminent filmmakers and educationists including Shoojit Sircar, Vikramaditya Motwane, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Pritish Nandy, Guneet Monga, Kailash Surendranath, Dr. Indu Shahani, Dr. Nagesh Rao and Nina Lath amongst others
