OMS’ Srikanth Raman moves to GoupM’s Consumer Connect Group

Raman, who has over 10 years experience in media, is likely to join by early next week

Srikanth Raman, who is business director at OMS, Mumbai, is all set to join GroupM’s Consumer Connect Group (CCG), which is the strategic planning unit of the company, as director. He is likely to join by early next week and will be based in Mumbai.

Raman moves at a time when the CCG is in a beef-up mode with more hands likely to come on board shortly. “We are looking at a five-member team across Mumbai, Delhi and the South. We see Raman as a valuable resource,” says Rema Harish, director, strategic planning & training, GroupM.

Raman, who has a master’s degree in management studies from Mumbai University, has over ten years experience in media, beginning with Enterprise Nexus, followed by Mudra, where he spent seven years in his first innings with the agency.

Carat was his next stop-over, where he was associate business director (in charge of Asian Paints). He then moved to Triton Communications as media director (west), but jumped soon after to Starcom as head of the Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) account in August, 2003. He spent about a year there and moved to OMS, the media arm of Mudra, in July 2004.

At OMS, Raman oversaw operations for a cluster of accounts including Reliance, HPCL, LIC, Air India and Zenith Computers.
