The awards recognise and felicitate most preferred brands by Indian consumers
The Hindi business news channel, CNBC Awaaz is set to hold the awards ceremony for the fourth edition of the much awaited CNBC Awaaz Consumer Awards, on September 26 in Mumbai.
The awards were instituted by the business channel in 2005, with an aim to get an insight into consumer behaviour and preferences, by recognising the most popular and trusted brands across various categories, such as Consumer Durables, Telecom, FMCG, Financial Services, Travel and Hospitality, Retail, and Automobiles.
Talking to afaqs!, Neel Chowdhury, vice-president, marketing, CNBC-TV18, says, “The awards act as a medium to facilitate deeper understanding of consumer insights, when it comes to identifying major brands and services. In any given industry or product category, it is the needs and aspirations of consumers that play an integral part in the relationship between the consumer and the brand. So, the survey conducted by research company, Nielsen evaluates brands on various parameters, arriving at some names that qualify as the most preferred brands by consumers.”
