Subramanian joins Starcom MediaVest Group from ZenithOptimedia, where he was chief strategy officer.
Starcom MediaVest Group India has appointed Raghav Subramanian as national director, insights and research. Subramanian joins the SMG Group from ZenithOptimedia, where he was chief strategy officer. Taking charge on July 1, he will be based in New Delhi and will report to Mallikarjunadas CR, chief executive officer, Starcom MediaVest Group India.
Prior to ZenithOptimedia, Subramanian spent about a decade with GroupM and its business science division, Advance Techniques Group in New York.
Having started his career at Ogilvy, Subramanian is armed with nearly 20 years of experience and has worked on brands such as American Express, Dabur, ITC Agro and Godfrey Phillips India, among others.
Subramanian says, "I am looking forward to leading the insights and research function at SMG. The philosophy of being the Human Experience Company fascinates me and I am confident that under the leadership of CVL Srinivas and Mallikarjunadas CR, the product we will offer to clients will be the best in class."
He further tells afaqs! that his mandate ahead will primarily involve building the SMG brand and bringing it back on track to what it has been known to stand for - quality planning, building it on the three pillars of research and insights, digital and content. Subramanian says that he looks forward to fuelling the re-invention, looking for path breaking insights.
Along with the branch heads of Starcom Worldwide and MediaVest Worldwide, as well as the heads for digital and business impact functions, Subramanian will be a part of the National Leadership Team at Starcom MediaVest Group India.
